Tomorrow morning I'll be flaming up GrillZilla - my pig cooker. Our students are having a pork BBQ sale on Saturday at the Lowes Foods in Harrisburg. You buy the BBQ for $8 a lb. or a plate for $8 (which includes slaw, potatoes and a roll). They are also doing a car wash. Be sure to come get some great Eastern NC BBQ and let the kids wash your car or truck. This is a really good cause. "Cause" the kids need it for their summer camp. So support them and support the church. THANKS!

This Saturday we're going to be serving Eastern NC style BBQ out on the land at our Pumpkin Patch. And, I know it may sound crazy, but we're GIVING it away! That's right, we're not charging for the BBQ. There are a lot of churches in our area that do BBQ fundraisers - which I have no problem with - but I don't want to do "just another BBQ." So, we're giving it away for free! And honestly, we could make a few hundred bucks - maybe more - but we're not in the BBQ selling business. We're in the people reaching business. I think it will make more an impact this way. This is going to be a great opportunity to reach out to and meet our community.

So here's the deal: Tell your friends and neighbors about the BBQ. Invite them to come with you. Don't come alone. If you've ever wanted to introduce someone to R2C2 this is the time to do it.

Also, don't forget that we'll be doing haunted hayrides all weekend beginning at dark. THEY ARE AWESOME - really a lot of fun. You'll take a nice little hayride, learn some local legends and ghost stories, and you'll get a few surprises along the way.
